Yes, its was SVC's 20th Anniversary year being established by Amanda Coulson in 1999.
The business quickly grew from a trusted, local recruiter into an award-winning company. SVC has steadily expanded, offering additional services and expertise within its four key divisions offering business-critical solutions for:
- Recruitment
- Training, Development & Coaching
- Human Resources
- Health & Safety
Apart from thanking SVC staff, to celebrate Amanda also started with an August 2019 discount offer off of Training Courses booked before the end of August.

It has been an incredible journey for Amanda (SVC CEO and Founder), who after 20 years has kept SVC as an independent company, which is quite rare in this day and age, with many companies being taken over or merged, especially in the Essex and Suffolk areas.
Amanda is still very much hands on in the office, again, not always seen in modern day businesses. In fact, she is on the sales floor multiple times throughout the day offering motivation to staff, including our daily ‘round up’ where goals are set by each member of staff.
Amanda also has one-to-one meetings with every member of staff on a regular basis and makes sure her door is always open to anyone who needs advice.
As part of our 20th anniversary celebrations SVC sponsored a hamper to NHS staff in Colchester, as part of the ‘Secret Hamper’ project, and announced that ‘Brain Tumour Research’ would be the ‘company charity of the year’ – a cause very close to Amanda, as she sadly lost her sister last year to a brain tumour.
Amanda’s values are embedded into SVC, and these shape the way the company works with its clients, candidates and each-other.
