    Mobile Electrical Engineer

    Location: Mobile role covering client sites around Central London
    Job Type: Permanent, Full-time
    Sector: Building Services / Facilities Management / Electrical Maintenance

    We are recruiting for a Mobile Electrical Engineer to carry out electrical maintenance, repairs, fault finding and compliance work across a range of client sites.

    This role would suit an experienced Electrical Engineer, Mobile Engineer, Maintenance Electrician, Facilities Engineer or Building Services Engineer who is confident working independently, travelling between sites and dealing directly with clients.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring electrical systems are maintained safely, efficiently and in line with current regulations.

    Duties Will Include

    • Carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance across client sites.
    • Diagnosing electrical faults and carrying out repairs to minimise downtime.
    • Working on lighting, power distribution, control systems and associated electrical equipment.
    • Completing electrical inspections, testing and safety checks.
    • Ensuring all work is carried out in line with 18th Edition Wiring Regulations and relevant health and safety standards.
    • Completing job reports, certification and service documentation accurately.
    • Responding to service calls and emergency breakdowns where required.
    • Liaising professionally with clients, site contacts and internal teams.
    • Using mobile devices or service systems to update jobs and reports.
    • Participating in an out-of-hours rota as part of the role.

    Skills and Experience Required

    • Previous experience as an Electrical Engineer, Maintenance Electrician, Mobile Engineer or similar.
    • Experience carrying out electrical maintenance, fault finding, inspections and repairs.
    • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
    • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation, Electrical Maintenance or equivalent.
    • City & Guilds 2391, or equivalent inspection and testing qualification.
    • Full UK driving licence.
    • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
    • Good communication skills and a professional approach with clients.
    • Able to work independently and manage workload across multiple sites.
    • Comfortable using mobile devices, job systems or service reporting software.

    Desirable Experience

    • PAT testing qualification.
    • Experience within building services, facilities management, commercial properties or mobile maintenance.
    • Additional training in areas such as high voltage systems, renewable energy or specialist electrical systems.

    Additional Requirements

    • Able to travel to client sites as required.
    • Flexible approach to working hours in line with operational needs.
    • Willing to take part in an out-of-hours emergency call-out rota.
    • Committed to working safely and maintaining high standards of workmanship.
    • Reliable, organised and able to prioritise jobs effectively.
