Operations Coordinator
Location: Near Bishop’s Stortford (due to rural location, own transport is required)
Hours: 8:30am – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday
Full time, perm
Salary : £35-42K depending on experience
About the Role
We’re looking for an Operations Coordinator who wants more than just an admin role.
This is a hands-on opportunity to become a central part of how the business runs day to day. One day you might be coordinating projects, improving internal processes or supporting performance reporting, the next you’re helping solve operational issues, working across departments or driving business improvement initiatives.

This role will work closely with the Head of Business Operations to help keep everything moving efficiently, consistently and to a high standard.
You’ll play an important part in helping teams stay organised, aligned and accountable, while also improving the systems and processes that support our people and clients.

Key Responsibilities
Operational Coordination
- Support the day-to-day running of business operations across multiple departments
- Coordinate tasks, deadlines and priorities to ensure work is delivered on time
- Act as a key point of contact for internal operational queries and support requests
- Help maintain strong communication and alignment across teams
Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows, systems and efficiency
- Help implement new processes and ways of working
- Support continuous improvement projects across the business
- Reduce errors, delays and unnecessary admin through smarter working practicesReporting & Performance
- Track key business and operational KPIs
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports for management and leadership teams
- Monitor progress against targets and highlight risks or issues early
- Use data and insights to support decision-making and improvement
Project Support
- Coordinate internal projects and business initiatives from planning through to delivery
- Track actions, timelines and accountability across stakeholders
- Support cross-functional projects involving operations, finance, sales, marketing or service teams
Systems & Organisation
- Maintain accurate records, trackers and operational documentation
- Support systems such as Monday.com and other internal platforms
- Help ensure processes are followed consistently across the business
Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Previous office or coordination experience
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Good IT skills including Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
- Confident working with data, KPIs and reporting
- Strong problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail
Desirable:
- Previous project coordination or project management experience
- Experience in operations, business support or process improvement roles
- Experience using Monday.com
- Energy, utilities or service-sector experience
- Degree in Business, Operations or related field
