Warehouse Operative – Temp to possible Perm (2 months initially)

Hourly rate : from £12.71 per hour

Location : Colchester CO1 area

Responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient handling of goods within a warehouse environment. This includes receiving, storing, and dispatching products while maintaining accuracy, safety, and organisation at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

Pick and pack orders accurately, ensuring all items meet quality standards and are recorded correctly on internal systems.

Receive and process incoming deliveries, including unloading goods, inspecting for damage, and checking items against invoices and delivery notes.

Store and organise stock in designated locations, using equipment such as pallet trucks and forklifts where required.

Maintain a clean, tidy, and well-organised warehouse to minimise errors and improve efficiency.

Conduct regular stock checks and assist with inventory control.

Follow all health and safety regulations, ensuring aisles are clear and equipment is used safely.

Assist with loading and despatching goods for delivery.

Work collaboratively with team members and support other areas of the warehouse when needed.

Skills and Requirements:

Good attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Basic IT skills for updating systems and records

Strong teamwork and communication skills

Physical fitness to handle manual tasks

Willingness to learn and operate warehouse machinery (training provided if required)

Working Hours & Benefits

Working Hours:

• Monday to Thursday: 08:15 – 17:00
• Friday: 08:15 – 16:00
